WORKS
PLOFILE
Born in 1989 in Hyogo, Japan.
Using avant-garde techniques such as splashing and painting directly with bare hands, the artist creates works that embody distinctly Japanese sensibilities such as mitate (reinterpretation/poetic analogy) and Zen aesthetics.
The works are characterized by a strong emphasis on spirituality and meaning, interwoven with philosophical and anthropological reflections.
The artist views the creation and appreciation of art as a uniquely human “ritual of confirmation,” and pursues the expression of “truths that are certain for human beings” as the central theme of their practice.
